WELCOME

We are the Grace and Peace Baptist Church of Mae Ai, Thailand, an independent Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. We are here to be a Gospel light in Thailand and to serve the Thaiand Hill Tribes people. To do that we not only worship together, but also have an outreach to the villages. Our goal is to encourage and train the village pastors, to evangelize villages unreached by the Gospel, to provide Sunday School materials for children, and to help the needy. We also reach out to the local Thai community with the Gospel and have a children’s home for children in need. We love our wonderful God and are committed to showing His grace and peace to those around us.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins. Galatians 1:3-4a
Although we are now an independent Baptist church, our stateside finances are still handled by Sherwood Baptist Church in Newcastle, OK. They accept and keep track of all donations, send receipts for tax purposes, and send 100% of the money on to support the work here in Thailand. It is by far the easiest and safest way to send funds here.
You can give by sending a check made payable to Sherwood Baptist Church with a notation “Thailand Mission.” Please send the check to the church address, 3313 NW 32 St., Newcastle, OK 73065.
If you prefer to give electronically, you can scan the barcode below or use the link to tithe.ly. The gift will go directly to our account.

LETTER FROM SUSAN
Greetings – from America!
Greetings – from America! No, I didn’t leave Thailand, or at least not for long. I’m taking two months to spend with my children and grandchildren in the US. So far, I’ve had great visits with my daughters Beth and Rebekah and their families. On December 28, I’ll be flying to Oklahoma for two weeks to visit son Peter and his family for two weeks. I’ll finish up with son Paul and family in California. I hope to visit with as many friends and supporters as possible while I’m there!
Then I’ll be home for the first preachers’ training since the one Paul taught last February. It is such a joy to my heart to see his work continuing. He loved those pastors and poured his life into teaching them. What a blessing that we can start it again as a ministry of the Grace and Peace Baptist Church.
As 2024 draws to a close, I have to say I’m glad it’s almost over! But while it was no doubt the hardest year of my life, the Lord never failed to show His love and faithfulness to me. He promised to be with me through the valley of the shadow of death, and He kept His promise. I’m still not out of the valley, but He has helped me through of a lot of hard places. I have confidence that He will see me through the rest of my journey. He is good!
I look forward to joining Paul in Heaven, but in the meantime, I plan to be in Thailand, doing what I can, as long as I can. It’s a privilege to serve Him!
We thank the Lord for all of you, and pray that you will have a new year full of His blessings!
Grace and Peace to you,
Susan
LETTER FROM WICHAI
Greetings to the Churches, Pastors, Preachers, and all Supporters,
First of all, I thank God for His care and guidance from January to this final month of the year. This year, so many things—both good and challenging—have happened to us here. Nevertheless, we give thanks to God for everything.
This month, we were invited to join the last Thanksgiving service at Salikam Church, one of the churches we fellowship with. I had the opportunity to preach outside of our church for the first time. Since this is a Lisu village and they do not understand Lahu, but can understand Thai, I preached from Psalm 103:1-5. This passage is a powerful reminder to praise God with all that is within us and to never forget to give thanks. David emphasizes that we should praise God with all our being and give thanks for His many blessings—His forgiveness of sins, His healing, His salvation from death, His steadfast love, and His mercy. He also provides for our daily needs. Our lives are filled with countless reasons to thank God, and even if we spent an entire year doing so, it still wouldn’t be enough.
We also had the opportunity to visit Bon Saw Church again. The church invited Moses to preach, and we brought medicines and baby bags to distribute to the church members. The pastor of Bon Saw Church was away on a mission trip to a remote area in Myanmar with Seba (Moses’ father) and some teachers and preachers from the Bible school in Myanmar.
Thank God, we are now preparing for the Preacher’s Training in January. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated, especially for the teaching team, interpreter, students, and all of us involved in the preparations. We expect at least 40 men to attend, possibly more.
Looking forward, we hope to enroll more students in the next semester. This will help provide education for underprivileged children—those from poor families or orphans. Most importantly, we aim to share the Gospel with them so they can come to know God’s love and salvation. We hope they will take what they learn and serve their churches in the future.
We are also praying and planning to hold a Bible Conference in April 2025. Although the weather in April can be quite challenging, it is the only time we can invite preachers to join us for the conference. We also hope to have preachers from the US to join us. If anyone feels called to participate, please contact Brother Danny.

One thing I am most thankful for this year is the people—those who have gone and those who remain. God has used many people to bless me, both physically and spiritually. I am especially grateful for those who have supported us, enabling us to continue this ministry.
Although we may not know all the churches, pastors, preachers, or supporters personally, please know that we are always thankful for you and praying for you.
May God richly bless you all. Wishing you a joyful and blessed New Year 2025!
Wichai
LETTER FROM MOSES
Greeting to all in our Lord Jesus Christ!
God has been so good to all of us. He takes care of us and provides everything we need, and we are truly thankful. At the beginning of this month, we joined a Thanksgiving service at Salikam Church, where Pastor Wichai preached. I thank God for seeing the growth of this church, not only in the number of members but also in their faithfulness to the Lord. We saw new members—both men and women—and more children. This is one of the many things God has done through the life of Paul Brown, through whom so many people have come to know God and receive salvation. Although his earthly ministry has ended, the work he began will continue and bear fruit through our service here. While I may not be able to serve the way he did, I promise to do my best in serving God and will remain faithful to His calling until my last breath.
This past week, we traveled to Bo Saw and were blessed by the service there. I had the privilege of preaching and also helping with baby clothes and medicine. It was heartwarming to see the joy on their faces. The road to Bo Saw was winding and steep, and it was very dangerous, but by God's grace, we arrived safely. We have also sent my father (Seba) to Myanmar to preach the Gospel, even though the situation there is dangerous. But we trust that God is in control, and we place our faith in Him completely.
I thank God for my wife, who is a great help to me. She usually takes care of our meals, and she also helps look after the children in our care—washing clothes, preparing their clothes, and keeping the house clean. For all of this, I thank God for her.
Finally, I want to express my sincere thanks to all the supporters who have helped keep the ministry here moving forward. I am also deeply grateful to those who remember us in their prayers. May God’s grace and peace always be with each of you.
Moses

LETTER FROM DANNY ROTEN
Dear brethren,

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for the Lord's work in Thailand! The Lord continues to bless. I am encouraged to see the new church in Mae Ai has had a baptism and received a new member. They are also having the Lord's Supper. Wichai and Moses are busy pastoring, and doing mission outreach, as well as continuing the home for the children and their educational classes. (By the way, when Moses mentioned in his letter all the work that his wife does in the home, he was not just referring to his personal home, but the children's home!) Also the planning and setup for the pastors' classes coming up in January.
This is still a time of transition for the work. They are trying to continue all of the work that Bro. Paul had going. You can see on the financial report that the monthly expenses far exceeded the support. This month included a lot of special expenses for special meetings. From previous special offerings there was a cushion sufficient to take care of the needs. But the report could look very different in the coming few months. We are still uncertain how much to expect for regular monthly support. I know some churches that will only support for one year after a missionary has passed away on the field. But the expenses here will continue, since the home for children continues and the preachers' training continues. Please pray with us that there will be sufficient monthly support to continue all of the mission efforts as before.

Please also remember to pray for the final approvals from the Thai government for the new foundation, which is required by Thai law to enable missionaries to work in the country.
The Grace and Peace Baptist Church has direct oversight of the work in the field. I maintain contact with Wichai and Moses. Both Keith Brown and I are official Consultants for the foundation. Sherwood continues handling and forwarding the support stateside. Sherwood is still maintaining a close relationship with the work as a stateside sponsor, and you may contact me with any questions you may have.
Also remember to uphold our sister Susan before the Lord. She has always been a vital part of this work, and continues to be!
Grace and Peace,
Danny Roten
